Transmuting Mithril To Truesilver
Let’’s say you”ve just recently put together your Alchemist’’s Stone and got to Artisan level. After heading to Gadgetzan, the first transmute you”ll gain access to is the Mithril->Truesilver one. (There’’s also the Iron->Gold one, that’’s really good for nothing so you might as well skip buying it). The only wow gold reason to use this one is for cheap leveling of your alchemy skill, to get to 275 skill. You will make a profit with it too, but it won”t be very large.
Consider investing in a stack of Mithril bars. Make sure you haggle for the price, get it as cheap as you can. When you start burning through them, sell the resulting bars one-by-one at the AH. Unless you”re selling on a bad day or something, you will more than double your per-bar investment in mithril. Say you bought your stack for 10-15 silver per bar - well, you”ll be selling your truesilver for 40-60 silver a piece. At that rate it takes about one week to pay off the initial investment, the rest is money for nothing, in your pockets. Won”t amount to a whole lot, but in your early levels you need all the help you can get - and besides, you will get the occasional skill-up while at it, too.
Arcanite Transmute
Once you reach level 275, you can learn the Arcanite transmutation. This recipe will last you a good long while - in fact, unless you luck out and find the Undeath->Water essence transmute somewhere, you”ll be using it right up to level 60 when you have completed the Scholomance ghost quest chain.
The price of Arcanite as well as arcanite transmutes has been heading downhill for a while, as is the case with all things in WoW. Like most people, I started out by offering transmutation services for a fee of 5 gold, but soon that price started lowering as more alchemists entered the market, and on my server it’’s now settled in at 3 gold. But I got to thinking… I”m wasting a lot of time advertising my services in Ironforge and putting up with annoying customers - for what? A few gold every few days? Considering my time and effort spent advertising and bargaining, I knew I had to find an easier way out.
By this time I had a few gold in my pocket already, and even though selling my own bars meant tying up almost 30 gold of my cash, risking unsuccessful sales in the AH and paying 5% for even the successful ones, none of these wow gold things were a real obstacle to me. I bought a stack of Thorium Bars for a few gold, and started browsing for arcane crystal prices. I quickly learned that there was quite a gap between the price of a crystal and the price of the finished Arcanite bar: A crystal would go for 19-22 gold, whereas the bar prices ranged from 25 to almost 30 gold.
By entering the bar sales business, you”ll bring in an average of at least 6 gold profit per sale - which should be twice the amount you”d get from selling the service alone, and without the hassle of haggling and advertising.
Undeath to Water
I got lucky and found the Undeath->water transmute recipe in Un”Goro, so I don”t know what this is worth in the AH. Probably a lot, since it’’s a world drop recipe. If you find it, it’’s a gold mine. If you see it in the AH, you”ll have to weigh the cost/future profit carefully, because you”ll probably switch to doing a different transmute later. It won”t be wise to spend obscene amounts on this recipe.
Assuming you have it one way or another, here’’s the deal. Essence of undeath is a somewhat useless and one of the more common world of warcraft gold essences, found often in Stratholme and Scholomance as well as other mobs. I could buy these essences for anything from as low as 50 silver to 1,5G from the AH. To my delight, Essences of Water are far more difficult to attain and are used in a number of high level crafted items. Their AH price fluctuates as farmers have better and worse terms, but it has stayed in the 7-10G region for a couple of months now on my server.
So, from this transmute you”ll earn 6-8 gold or more per transmute - the same amount you got for arcanite - with one major exception: The cool down is only 1 day. Congratulations, you are now making 250 gold per month doing absolutely nothing. But if you want to double that for just 2 hours per week, read on.
Water to Air
Complete the quest chain in Scholomance given to you by Eva Sarkhoff, the ghost outside the entrance, you gain an item that allows you to interact with the other ghosts on the island. Among them you will find a vendor that will sell you the Water->Air transmute recipe (binds when picked up).
Essences of air are found in Silithus, but their drop rate is highly irregular. They are also used in various rare and epic crafted items. Thus they have earned their AH price of approximately 15-20 gold on my server. By buying Water essences and selling Air essences, you will make 7-8 gold or more per day - only slightly more than by doing Undeath->Water. Prices may vary on your server, of course. This is the easy way of doing things.
If you are of the grinding mindset, you can of course grind your own essences to double your profit. This is not difficult, if a bit tedious.
You can find Essences of Water from high-level water elemental mobs. The two convenient places I frequent are: Felwood, or Eastern Plaguelands. Both locations are heavily farmed, and with the advent of the new warlock quests in Felwood that happen to be very close to the elemental area, the small area is often packed with 3 or more players competing for the spawns in the relatively small world of warcraft gold area. The Plaguelands areas are also farmed, but instead of one there are two, and the other one is significantly large which allows for many players to grind there without stepping on each other’’s toes too much. It’’s of course more fun to do it when you”re alone at it, so you don”t have to wait around and compete for the spawns.
The drop rate of these essences is not too low, but low enough to make you really suffer on an unlucky day. Sometimes you can go for an hour without seeing the first sign of any essences, but other times you get two on consecutive kills. Farming random drops is like this, and it’’s often boring, and the elementals don”t really drop anything else of value. Almost no greens, just enchanted water and the occasional elemental water or globe of water. I guess this is why the price of the essences remains fairly high.
But if you”re persistent, and have the tenacity to grind for 2 hours straight, you will probably be rewarded with at least 4-6 essences, if not more. For about 2 hours worth of grinding, you”re set for a week of transmuting at 15-20G a sale.
There’’s your 500G a month, 2 hours per week.
As with everything, expect these prices to lower over time. I”ve been doing this for about a month now, with no significant drop in profits (Air essence prices have gone down, but Water essence prices have gone up). By the end of the year I don”t think it”ll be as profitable, but considering the time spent it should still be well worth it.
Other transmutes
The transmutes I outlined above are arguably your best path to 300 skill, and your ultimate moneymakers as far as transmutes go. There are other transmutes available, but they really serve little purpose from a moneymaking perspective at least until Blizzard adds new crafted items or quests that shift the value of various essences and minerals.
In particular I recall once reading a funny comment about the Air->Fire transmute: Someone compared its usefulness to that of an ”Arcanite->Copper” transmute… And really, that’’s what it sounds like to me as well ;).
However, there is one alternative to consider, and you can do your own math on your server to see if it’’s worth doing. Thank you to Squigipapa on the forums for bringing up this idea.
Earth to Water (to Air)
If Water essences are too heavily farmed on your server for you to step in and get your own in a reasonable amount of time, you might consider farming Essences of Earth. First of all you need to be friendly with the Timbermaw Furbolgs to purchase the Earth->Water transmute recipe from then.
You can then grind Essences of Earth in Silithus, where rock elementals are plentiful and not quite as farmed as Water Elementals. By transmuting them to Water, and then to Air the next day, you may be able to turn up a nice profit, although the time involved in the process does leave you with only half the gold you could make from directly grinding Essences of Water. Alternatively you could also sell the Water Essences depending on how the essence market is working out on your server. Just some food for thought.

Ready
1. You start as a penniless level 1. Go grind, while leveling up at the same time. Avoid spending on anything but the necessary training. Your immediate goal is to earn 50 silvers. Once you have 50 silvers, go to buy wow gold Ironforge and look for Outfitter Eric. Just ask any of the guards where the tailor is, and Outfitter Eric should be in the said vicinity. You will buy the pattern for Tuxedo Jacket. Tuxedo Jackets are popular novelty items in the game, and every tailor would want to learn how to make one. The problem is, not every tailor knows where to buy the pattern. Most of them think that it’’s a rare drop. But not you! Buy the pattern for 50s, then sell it for 2 to 3g! 2. Using the method above, you can proceed with the other patterns of the Tuxedo set, all of which can purchase from Outfitter Eric. The pattern for Tuxedo Pants can be sold for 2 to 3g. The pattern for Tuxedo Short is a little cheaper, but will still yield quite a profit per sale!
3. Once you have amassed around 20g, it’’s time to play the market. Download a mod entitled Auctioneer. There’’s one at With this mod, you can survey the auction house. You can see the average selling price for items, and more cheap wow gold importantly, you can pinpoint which item is being sold at lower the average selling price. Auctioneer is the secret of gold farmers and rich WoW players. Buy low and sell high. It’’s fun, it’’s easy, and it’’s 100% profitable! You need initial capital of course, but by following the previous 2 steps, you”d be good to go.
4. Train to be an enchanter. Download the Enchantrix add Now use auctioneer to survey the AH for green items being sold at low, low prices. Then use Enchantrix to see what these items will disenchant to. Compare. Are the disenchanted materials worth more than the cost for the items Often, the difference is worth its weight in gold, literally speaking!
5. The humanoids you will battle from level 1 to 15 will drop Linen Cloth. Linen Cloth may seem like a common item, but it’’s not. You can sell a stack of 20 for as much as 50s, depending on your server’’s economy. Why so high It’’s because higher leveled World of Warcraft players need Linen Cloth for rep points, and they”re too lazy to grind for the same. Also, other low level players need Linen Cloth as well tailors for bolts of cloth and others for bandages. So collect as much Linen Cloth as you can. Grind for them if you must. Then sell for a lot of profit. You can easily get 5 to 7 stacks of Linen Cloth within an hour.
These are just a few of the tricks for fast Wow gold. They”re meant for low level characters at that. There are hundreds of other techniques to earn tons and tons of Wow gold.
If you’re running your first character through World of Warcraft Gold you’re probably short of gold. I know when I got started in WoW I knew nothing about add-ons, nothing about what items sold well at auction, and nothing about how to earn gold beyond lucking into a rare drop from a mob and selling it to a vendor.
So, in the interest of saving you from having to decide which spells or skills you should buy when you level up because you can’t afford them all here are a few tips for making gold in WoW at low levels.
5. Sell Your Cloth or Make Bandages
Especially at low levels, you can typically make World of Warcraft more by selling bandages made from cloth to a vendor than by selling the cloth itself. I don’t recommend you sell the cloth to a vendor at all (auction it off instead) but selling the bandages to a vendor is a good way to recoup a little gold as you’re leveling your First Aid skill.
4. Don’t Pick a Crafting Profession Before Level 30
Crafting at low levels (below level 30 or so) is a gold sink. You don’t have the skill to make anything anyone wants to buy and all those materials you put into your crafting could easily be sold at auction. Instead of choosing Herbalism and Alchemy for example, choose Herbalism and Skinning or Mining and Skinning (I recommend either of these combos and not Herbalism and Mining because you can only show one type of resource (either herbs or ore nodes) on your mini-map at a time).
Then, instead of wasting the stacks of low level herbs, ore, or leather that you gather, put them up at auction. You can easily get 20 to 50 silver per stack of even the lowest level resources as many high level players buy these materials to level crafting in their alts.
3. Spend Time at the Auction House
If you’re read many of the articles here, you know how much I love WoW Auctioneer. After you’ve used auctioneer to wow gold accurately price the stacks of herbs, ore, and leather you’ve been gathering take that gold and start buying underpriced items and selling them for what they’re worth.
2. Consider Disenchanting as a Profession
Enchanting components (strange dust, magic essence, etc.) typically sell for much more at auction than the item that was disenchanted would sell for. This is especially true for low level green items that you’d have to sell to a vendor anyway because of lack of demand for low level items at the auction house. In fact, you can make quite a bit of gold buying out those low level greens that other players auction, disenchanting, then putting the components up at auction yourself!
1. Pay Attention and be Patient
No matter your level, the easiest way to make gold fast in World of Warcraft is to simply pay attention. Visit the auction house and pay attention to what’s selling well. Is there more demand for ore or smelted minerals? Is there a glut of a certain blue item that’s now selling for much less than it’s wow gold worth that you can buy and re-sell in a week or so when supply has gone down? Is someone selling a stack of quest items for a few silver that will be in demand later by other players completing the quest? Is there a stack of herbs or ore you can buy cheaply, split up, and sell in smaller stacks for a big profit?
Most players will simply put items up for auction without thinking about supply, demand, or the potential value of the items a week or a month in the future. Just pay a little attention each time you visit the auction house and I guarantee you’ll be a lot richer by this time next week!
I have come to understand that this is not common knowledge to all rogues and I have yet to see it on any site upon performing multiple searches.
This can be soloed for about 200G per hour or done with 2 rogues for about 1000G.
I do this solo but in fairness I have exceptional gear. I’m sure it could be done with good blue gear. If you have problems cheap world of warcraft gold with this, get a partner to help you. Frankly, as much money as this can make you, it wouldn’t be a horrible crime to complely stock up on greater fire protection pots, elixir of mongoose, giant potions, etc. A death will cost you about 6 minutes and time is money.
You will also need improved sap. 100G worth of respeccing is a small price to pay for a weekend of making thousands.
On to the solo strategy:
In Lower Blackrock Spire you want to stealth to the right in the same manner as you would normally clear the dungeon. You’ll come around to the left after dropping off the first ledge and work your way to two doors (one after the other) that are very close to each other and have roaming mobs going through them. After you pass the second door, stop. To your right you should see a ledge. Across from that ledge is another ledge where you will see a bunch of ogres. If you move towards that ledge and look down you will see a platform that you can jump onto. Jump to it. Now move forward and you will see another platform. Jump to it. Lastly you will jump to the wow gold ground floor where you will see several tents. When you jump down, fall, don’t jump or it will break your stealth. Watch out for roaming mobs. You don’t want to fall on them.
Continue on until you get to the hill where the spiders are. As soon as you reach this hill you will come to a nook on your right that most groups that do LBRS skip. In that nook you will see three groups of mobs. To the left are 3 mobs, to the right are 3 mobs and in the back right corner are 2 mobs. The two groups of 3 are not linked but all 6 will aggro if you pull one because the two groups are too close together.

What you want is one of the two mobs in the back. One of these mobs is a Blackrock Pyromancer. He is what you will want to kill, so sap the other guy and go up the little hill behind you. Ranged pull the pyromancer. Just before he gets in range hit evasion and kill him as quickly as possible. He will flee just before he dies, so crippling poison is your friend. You could use kidney shot just before he gets to 20% life but why waste it on a fleeing mob?
As soon as you kill him, loot him and vanish.
Duo Strategy
Kill the group in the back in the same manner but don’t waste your vanish. Two rogues shouls make extremely short work of both mobs. Heal up, wait for your curses and such to fade and get ready for some big packs.
The problem with the next pull is that you have 6 mobs to deal with. If the two ‘inside mobs’ are both Pyromancers, dump this pull and reset. The only way you can continue is to reset, fight 4 elits at the same time or kill a couple, die and come back to an easier pull. In any other case, you want to sap ‘inside mob1′ or wow gold inside mob2′. If one of them is a pyromancer, don’t sap it, sap the other one and have your partner sap one of the other mobs in sapped mob’s group. See this diagram.
Kill the unsapped pyromancer and vanish.
The duo strat is complicated. You will find that there are several configurations to deal with. I prefer to solo but I make a ton of money if I duo all of the mobs.
It is one of the best robes that a mage can find if he doesn’t raid and that is more than 99% of the mage population. Even raiding mages have bought these from me as gaining archanist or something similar isn’t necessarily an overnight process for a new raider. The best part of this robe is that it’s bind on pickup. The pattern is bind on use but the robe binds when you make it, so the crafter can only make it for himself.
Yes the downside is that the mage has to be a 300 tailor. I have sold this pattern to 100 people that picked up tailoring just to make this wow gold robe. Many dumped tailoring after making it.
These patterns sell for about 200 gold on my server. I’ve found and sold as many as 5 in a day.
They sell for 300-400 gold on my server. They don’t drop nearly as often as the robe pattern does but it’s a nice payday when they do. I also find a ton of blues (shadowcraft, valor, etc). Those always sell pretty nicely.
My worst one hour session was about 70 gold. My best was 1000 gold (3 patterns, 1 fire recipie and 2 blues).
Again, if you’re having trouble with the solo strat, get a partner. Two rogues in green gear can easily handle the solo strat.
